Dr. Suneel Mohammed obtained his medical degree at Calicut Medical College, India in 1986. He did Graduate Research in Molecular and Cell Biology at the St. Louis University, School of Medicine from 1986 to 1988. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the St. Luke's Hospital/University of Missouri School Of Medicine from 1988 to 1993 where he was also the Chief Resident in Medicine. He completed the fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Brown University School of Medicine, Providence, RI from 1993 to 1995. Following this he was an Instructor in Medicine at the University of Illinos School of Medicine / WestSide VA Medical Center at Chicago. Il from 1995 to 1997.
Dr. Mohammed has been in practice in Morganton and Valdese since 1997. Dr. Mohammed is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of The American College of Physicians, American Gastroenterological Association and the Burke County Medical Society. He has published many scientific articles in medical journals.
