INSURANCE
We accept assignment on Medicare, most commercial insurance, Medicaid and self pay. Our office will gladly file your insurance, any remaining balance, deductible and co-payment are the responsibility of the patient and are due at the time the medical service is rendered.
BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD of NC
We are the only endoscopy center in Burke, Catawba, Caldwell, McDowell and Buncombe Counties in North Carolina recognized as an “office-endoscopy” center by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC). Blue Cross Blue Shield offers several plans such as Blue Care, Blue Options and Blue Advantage that allows the out of pocket cost of an endoscopy done at an office based center to be the members specialty co-pay.The only out of pocket expense for most BCBSNC patients is the typical office co-pay ($30, $40, or $50, depending on the plan). Please refer to your Wellness benefits or call the telephone number on the back of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Card.
PRE-CERTIFICATION
If your insurance requires pre-certification before covering endoscopy procedures and hospitalizations, please notify our office several days before your visit or admission so that pre-certification can be completed in time.
FEES
Fees are commensurate with services performed and include four primary services:
*Consultation and office visits according to complexity of your condition
*If laboratory tests are performed, there is a separate charge for these
*If an endoscopy procedure is performed, there is a professional fee for the physician
performing the procedure.
*For most procedures, there is also a facility fee.
